I considered a few different options and ultimately decided that we would make a Mystery Machine!
I saw the Batmobile Cozy Coupe on Pinterest and briefly considered doing another superhero. I couldn't figure out a good way to do a car for Captain America, so we scrapped the superhero theme altogether.
I'm pretty impressed with our little Mystery Machine and Miss E absolutely loves it.
Cozy Coupe makeovers are relatively easy. Just clean your car with an ammonia-based cleaner, making sure to get any dirt and dust off of the surfaces. Find a spray paint that bonds to plastic (Krylon and Rustoleum both offer spray paints made specifically for plastic) and go to town. Instead of painting the details, I chose to use SCAL and my Cricut to make vinyl decals.
